Rebecca Sardell is a Medical Statistician in the Renal Studies Group within the Clinical Trial Service Unit & Epidemiological Studies Unit (CTSU).
Rebecca has a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Oxford, an MRes in Ecology and Environmental Management from the University of York, and a PhD in Biological Sciences from the University of Aberdeen.
After completing her PhD in 2011, she held a postdoctoral position in evolutionary biology at Florida State University. Following this she completed an NIH-funded postdoctoral training program in genetic epidemiology at the Hussman Institute for Human Genomics at the University of Miami, where she focused on the genomics of age-related macular degeneration.
Before joining the CTSU in 2020 she spent 3 years as an epidemiologist/research specialist at the Texas Cancer Registry.
